At Westminster Presbyterian Church, we believe "every disciple of the church" is called to ministry. So at the top of our letterhead you will find these words:
Our Minister - Every Disciple of Jesus Christ At Westminster Presbyterian Church
Our pastor is The Reverend Dr. John Wintringham. Pastor John has served in multiple parishes for over 45 years. He has certificate and his doctoral degree in pastoral counseling and psychotherapy. He has served as therapist in three major counseling centers, certified by the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. He retired from ministry in 2013 and lives in Brandon, Florida.
Sandra has been the church office manager for over ten years. She is truly the "glue" that holds our operation together, and if you need anything from the church staff, she is the best place to start. Sandra loves traveling when she is not working, here in Argentina enjoying a great vacation.
Woody is our "maestro" of all things musical at Westminster. He and wife Joyce are the dynamic leaders of our adult choir and our bell choir. Woody arranges special music throughout the year adding to our worship of God. Woody and Joyce are retired teachers from the Manatee School system, who enjoy golf, tennis, and kayaking. If you love music, contact Woody if you can catch him...
Elise is our bookkeeper and financial secretary. She works part-time, with office hours usually on Wednesdays. Elise is the one to see with a question about contributions or church budget items. Elise enjoys making greeting cards, camping and "my Oscar".
The Reverend Peter MacFarlane is a retired Presbyterian Minister of the Word and Sacrament who serves as our Minister of Visitation. Peter brings words of encouragement and prayers to those in the hospital or homebound. Peter and wife Carol have been an important part of Westminster church for over a dozen years. Occasionally you might even see him in his "kilt."
